Because your media room is all about the visuals, the right
projector is one of the most important aspects to the room’s success. With the
advancement in technology, you can buy a very nice quality projector for little
cost. Since most people use their projectors for gaming and for crisp quality
for movies, lets go down that path. In order to obtain that amazing quality
despite the size, the first thing you will want to look in to is that the
projector is HD. If you want the quality to look great, and fill up the most
amount of space, I would suggest getting HD (1920 x 1080). The next factor on
increasing the viewing pleasure is the brightness the projector puts out that
you view, measured in lumens. Typically, the brighter you go, the better the
lighting works. This also significantly adds to the cost of the projector.
Another factor that makes a huge difference for video games and movies is the
projector refresh rate. A faster refresh rate means crisper and more seamless
looking images. I would recommend getting a projector with a refresh rate of
120hz or more for no lag while gaming, and for that extra crispness while
watching a movie. These are some factors to get the best quality out of your
projector, to make gaming smoother, and your movies more life-like.
